This exciting two-day workshop will introduce you to the basic tools and techniques to create your own professional looking jewelry. Students will learn to use wire, chain, beads and sheet metal to create a jewelry collection that will include earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
Several jewelry making techniques including, tempering, bending, cutting, piercing, filing, finishing, drilling, polishing, and forging will be covered during this workshop. Join us for this wonderful introduction to the art of jewelry making. Anyone can do it! No experience is necessary. We start with basics! Students will leave with a minimum of 3 finished pieces of jewelry including earrings, bracelets and necklaces likely even more. All tools and materials are included in the course fee. If students have some small treasures, their own tools and supplies or stones of their own they want to use, they can bring them along. A minimum of 8 students is needed to run this workshop with a maximum of 20.
