The Fantasy Fountain Fund, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation established in 1984 to promote, sponsor, and develop an understanding, study, and improvement of the fine arts and especially, but not limited to, the art of sculpture. Since its inception, the Fund has supported emerging and professional artists through apprenticeships, classes, workshops, scholarships, exhibitions, and temporary and permanent placement programs.
The Fantasy Fountain Fund for the Arts grant program provides financial assistance to professional sculptors.
To be considered for The Fantasy Fountain Fund for the Arts grant program, you must meet the following requirements:
Eligibility: Professional sculptors 21 years of age or older living and/or working in the five boroughs of New York City, Rockland County or Westchester County.
Art Discipline: Sculptors applying for these grants can work in any medium including, but not limited to, bronze and metal casting, stone and marble carving, and/or metal fabrication. Works must be figurative. The Fund is looking for inventiveness in the figurative tradition and works that reimagine and reinvigorate this tradition.
Amount of Grants: Four defined grants of $2,500 each to meritorious applicants.
Application Deadline: March 14, 2024.
- One page artist biography.
- Image sets for two works of sculpture. In addition to the final work, these image sets must include at least 5 images of preparatory drawings and sketches. These sets must include:
- Artist's Name
- Date of Birth
- Mailing address, email and phone number
- Date of Completion
- Where the work has been displayed and duration of display; is it a temporary or permanent placement?
