This class incorporates drawing, painting and collage to engage participants of all levels in a practical and hands on approach to abstraction. Sessions include demonstrations of techniques, basic theories of abstraction, group discussions, examples of artists work and individual instruction. Participants can work on paper, canvas, wood panels and other surfaces. This class is best suited to using water based paints, such as acrylic paint and gouache and drawing media such as markers and oil and wax crayons. The materials list will sent upon registration and reviewed in the first class for those needing guidance.
