Explore the process of painting still life and landscape paintings! You will be amazed at how quickly your style and artistic ability develop by using easy and intuitive painting techniques. Learn the basics of toning the canvas, drawing a composition, mixing colors, and the various ways of applying paint. Emphasis is on creativity and you are free to experiment and develop your own expressive style during this 6-week class. Demonstrations, individual critiques, and examples of famous artists’ works will be shown. This class is suitable for all levels. Students may choose to paint with oil or acrylic on canvas as well as oil stick, oil pastel, and other media for a variety of line and texture. A materials list will be sent upon registration.
