Robyn Ellenbogen is an artist in residence at New Jersey hospitals, making art with chronically ill children, young adults and their families. “We travel together from initial diagnosis, treatment, remission and often relapse. Together we explore the arts in the intimacy of their hospital room, making paintings, animations, books, reading poetry, sharing stories, listening to music and learning to dance while in bed. When children are actively dying they return home and many would choose to continue their self expression”. Robyn has a B.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts and an M.F.A. from Hunter College.
