Clay Leaf Impressions Drop-in Art Workshop with Michael Porfido 12:00-4:00pm in the Ceramics Studio
Exploring with clay is often times described as therapeutic and relaxing. While handbuidling, your mind and body are in natural synergy, working together with your creative ambitions and goals. This thoughtful, artistic activity can open up the mind and relieve you of outside worries.
Embodied Dance Workshops with Allison Pagano 12:30pm and 1:30pm in the Dance Studio
This workshop explores movement through the vernacular of modern and contemporary dance as both an art form for self knowledge and personal growth. We will unlock concepts of self image and stories we hold in our bodies in order to discover deeper layers of self and integration in body, mind and heart. If you are looking to explore concepts in psychological anatomy or deepen your creative expression, this workshop is for you! All lovers of movement welcome to attend.
The experience of meeting oneself through the journey of a labyrinth.
Performance by Allison Pagano and original music by Pete Teresi on bass guitar
“Since the Bronze age, labyrinths have appeared concurrently in many cultures between which there was no geographical or trade connection. The spiraling labyrinth is somehow embedded in human consciousness. In creating modern day Labyrinths, we are tapping into the folk memory of our ancestors, connecting with their wisdom and passing their art on to future generations” – Cassandra Eason
