Roca summer day camp
Welcome to Camp RoCA! A place for children to explore their creativity and imaginations while developing skills they can bring back to the classroom and use throughout their lives.

Camp RoCA is FUN – a place where memories are made and children forge lasting friendships with their peers and counselors.

The RoCA campus invites campers to be immersed in art on our ten wooded acres and in our fully equipped, air conditioned art studios. RoCA’s sparkling pool and open field provide plenty of healthy outdoor recreation.

Children are grouped by grade level. Each session is based on a different theme and campers learn to express themselves through both visual and performing arts.

Under the guidance of professional instructors and caring counselors, campers explore art in a supportive environment where group cooperation, personal development, confidence and self-esteem are encouraged. RoCA campers feel a strong sense of accomplishment at the end of summer.

Join us and see why Camp RoCA is one of the area’s most sought after, unique and praised day camps.

Friday program

Musical Theater is the focus of the Friday program.  Campers perform selections from  much loved Broadway musicals. Working together, they create their own props, costumes and scenery, then bring it all to life in a exciting performance.

Game building with Scratch Group G-J
Coding and computer science skills have become essential to the development of our modern society. Game building at RoCA uses a system unlike anything else to teach code to students, enriching their potential for Critical thinking, problem solving, and computer science fundamentals, allowing children to prepare for the future by teaching them the coding essentials early.

Pixel Art Groups C-F
A pixel is the smallest building block of what a screen displays and Pixel art is the arrangement of these blocks on a pixel-by-pixel basis to make images and animations intended for screen display.  By using a limited number of colors and resolutions, students must challenge themselves against complicated concepts and ideas to produce their art in the most efficient way possible.

Campers enjoy recreational and instructional swimming daily, weather permitting, in our large, sparkling pool. Children learn safety, sportsmanship and swimming skills. Games such as water polo and relay races reinforce these basics. The swimming program is under the supervision of an adult specialist who is a certified professional rescuer trained in CPR and first aid. Camp lifeguards are BLS certified. A camp Medical Director is on site.

The children participate in supervised outdoor activities on our two-acre field. Non-competitive field games round out the program and give children plenty of wholesome physical activity. Our camp is proud to maintain a consistent 5:1 camper to counselor ratio. for ages 5-9 and 7:1 for ages 10-12.

Sculpture Park
RoCA’s unique Catherine Konner Sculpture Park will be part of your child’s day camp experience. Offered only at RoCA, your child will learn to appreciate sculpture by professional artists and use them as an inspiration for creative projects of their own. An exhibiting sculptor will be a guest instructor and lead campers in a project.
