Rockland Center For The Arts' Sculpture Park Opens New Season With The Wild And Witty
The Rockland Center for the Arts opens it second annual outdoor exhibition on Sunday, October 20, 2002 at a public reception from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. The outdoor Sculpture Park features the work of ten sculptors from Rockland and the Hudson Valley. The exhibition will be on view through April 2003.

Filling the two-acre site are wild and witty creatures and totems by Najim Chechen, Robert Spinazzola and Andrew Rostolder. The human form joins this menagerie with Judith Peck's polychrome and fanciful yet powerful, "Women of Steel". Completing the picture are flowers that perpetually bloom since they are made of wood while the ones made by Time Watkins are solar-powered kinetic wonders that move and chatter with the changing light.

All this imaginative use of material and subject matter transform the grounds of the Rockland Center for the Arts into an entertaining sculptural wonderland for the whole family.
