Prohibition was the law, flappers' rouged knees seduced, and America secretly felt the heat of jazz for the first time... that was the 20's and 30's. This fall, in a clandestine location to be announced one week prior to the event, this bygone era will become the backdrop for an exuberant evening of dancing, entertainment and gourmet dining to benefit the Rockland Center for the Arts. In celebration of the arts during the 20's and 30's, the event will feature film clips, a silent auction filled with treasures, live performances by the Big Apple Jazz Band, and cabaret and jazz singer Sue Matsuki. Hilarious comedian John Patrick Schutz will be on hand to ensure that spirits stay high. On exhibit will be signed photographs by Academy Award winning actress Ellen Burstyn and a collection of classic movie posters from the 20's to the 40's. Guests are invited to dress in 20's or 30's attire and participate in a fun-filled award ceremony for the most uniquely dressed. Join us! The bathtub gin will be flowing while we party the night away!
