This one-day workshop explores the process of Raku, an ancient Japanese art of firing ceramic ware. Various reduction materials such as sawdust, paper, and hay will be used to produce unique iridescent effects on quickly-heated pottery. Bring 6-7 pieces of bisque-pottery to fire. Must wear cotton, long sleeves and pants, leather closed shoes. Dress for outdoor weather. Bring your own lunch, snacks, and preferred beverages.
