In a 6 week class devoted to poetry, memoir and fiction, students will have the opportunity for in-depth class discussion of their writing and will receive a written critique from the instructor on each piece read in class. Critiques will incorporate constructive criticism and suggestions for revision. Students will be encouraged to experiment with new subject matter, styles and forms of writing, and will work on uncovering material from their own lives. Optional assignments will be given in order to expand the range of possibilities of each writer. This is a supportive workshop appropriate for experienced as well as new writers. Please bring 12 copies of a 1-page piece of your writing to the first class.
Registration begins Thurs. March 23 at 9am.
