BEAR
IN MIND - BIRD IN SIGHT
Recent work by Ursula Schneider
Curator:
Chris Randolph March 5
- April 27, 2006
The
exhibition features work from Ursula's recent
mixed media bird series and color woodcuts of
bear images. "I am interested in the relationship
of the birds to their environment... I see the
birds as jewels in the wind, traversing the landscape."
The bear images, which originated from her experiences
hiking and drawing in the Arctic Circle in Alaska,
"are a merging of reality and of my mind's
experiences."
Ursula
Schneider has been an exhibiting artist throughout
the United States since the early 1970's.
Solo exhibitions include A.I.R. Gallery in
New York; Braunstein Gallery in San Francisco,
