Gallery ONE ::
The world of Miriam Brumer

Opening: Sunday, September 9, 1-4pm 2007

curator
Lynn Stein
September 9 - September 30, 2007

Miriam Brumer uses simple writing materials such as markers, pens and pencil on vellum to create drawings that resemble living microcosms in a state of activity. These worlds seem to be lit from within. Brumer's sculpture translates this same luminosity into her 3D sculptural work.

Miriam Brumer recent exhibitions include a One-person show, Conant Hall Gallery, ETS, Princeton, NJ; City Without Walls Gallery, Newark, NJ; and the Payne Gallery of Moravian College, Bethlehem, Pa. Brumer is represented in collections of the Chase Manhattan Bank, The Bank of New York, and many others. She has been a panel participant at Artists talk On Art, NY, and has given lectures at sites such as the Queens Museum of Art. Brumer is currently part of an exhibit in the 3RD WARD, in Brooklyn, NY entitled Loveís Secret Domain, Contemporary Psychedelic Art.
