ANTIQUE JEWELRY
Learn how to evaluate jewelry in terms of condition and design when making a purchase. This hands-on demonstration will use actual examples and make ample reference to styles and fabrication of jewelry since ancient times. Presented by Joyce Jonas, President Emeritus of The American Association of Jewelry Historians, Professor of Art at NYU and former head of the Jewelry Department of Phillips Auction Gallery in New York City.

CHINESE JADE: IT'S MYSTERY & VALUE
Edith Frankel, a nationally recognized expert on Chinese Antiques and owner with her husband Joel of the Madison Avenue Gallery E + J Frankel, will trace the long and colorful history of jade in an illustrated lecture with special emphasis on today's prices and most collectible categories: jewelry, sculpture and objects for the Scholar's Table.

PAINTING RESTORATION & CONSERVATION:
A buyer's guide to spotting problems & caring for artwork. Joel Avow, whose studio in SoHo serves such clients as The Museum of American Folk Art, The New York Historical Society and major auction houses, will present an illustrated lecture that shows you how to care for and conserve the paintings you already own and what problems to look out for when purchasing a work of art either from a dealer or at auction.

DECORATING WITH ANTIQUES
Whether you love living with a houseful of antiques collected from a particular era or if you just want to add interest to your décor with a few special objects, you will gain a wealth of ideas from two seasoned experts as you stroll among the beautiful antiques on display. Dominick Marengo, owner of Dominick Joseph Antiques, & Janis Cavanaugh, who heads her own decorating firm Cavanaugh Design are your hosts & lecturers.

PERIOD FLORAL DESIGNS & ANTIQUES
Mr. Ned Kelly, owner of Ned Kelly & Co. in Piermont, NY, will demonstrate and  discuss changing tastes in floral arranging in different periods from  Colonial to Classical to Victorian using antique containers found at flea  markets and local antiques shops. Each era will be highlighted with a fresh  arrangement made at the lecture.

THE MARRIAGE OF FOOD AND WINE: A HISTORY & TASTING
Joseph Prince will tempt your taste buds and satisfy your curiosity when he discusses how the pairing of food and wine has evolved over time. Illustrated with a four-course meal of historical recipes. Food samples and wine tasting are included in the lecture. Mr. Prince is an experienced chef who is currently the proprietor of Grape Divine, a wine shop in Tappan, NY.
