Ceramics Studio for Families (ages
8 and up)
This course introduces the fundamental
methods of ceramics, with an emphasis on working with a partner
(parent, caretaker, grandparent, sibling) and wheel throwing. Demonstrations
will include handbuilding methods, throwing on the potter's wheel,
glaze application and most importantly, experimentation. Although
this class focuses on developing skills, it's intent is not on the
perfection of technique. Rather it is to inspire students to experiment
and create with clay together.
